Games you can actually play one-handed
Half the value of a mobile game is whether you can play it while standing on a train holding on with one hand. A lot of games ignore this completely.
We've started noting one-handed friendliness in reviews because it changed how we recommend things. Big Bass 3in1 is a good example: charge, tap, hold, all thumb-reachable.
Look for portrait orientation, controls clustered near the bottom of the screen, and pauses that don't punish you for stopping mid-action. Those three things separate a good commute game from a frustrating one.
Casual and fishing games tend to nail this. Fast racers usually don't, which is why we flag it clearly when one does.
